I had a fantastic stay at Mama Shelter La Hollywood! The location was perfect, just a short walk from Hollywood Boulevard, making it easy to explore the area. The rooftop bar offered stunning views and was a great place to unwind. While there was some noise from the surrounding area and construction, the overall vibes, modern decor, and friendly staff really made my experience enjoyable.

Rooms

My room was clean, comfortable, and had stylish touches that made it feel inviting. However, I noticed a lack of furniture; there was no chair, just a hard bench, making it a bit difficult to work comfortably.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making me feel welcome. They remembered details about my stay and were quick to help with any questions I had.
Location
8.0
Located in the heart of Hollywood, I was able to walk to many attractions. However, the area felt a bit seedy at night, so I had to rely on Ubers for safe late-night travel.
Dining

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I loved indulging in the bare necessities breakfast with avocado. The rooftop bar served great drinks, although I did feel the pricing was a bit unclear with added costs.
Facilities
8.0
Mama Shelter offers a vibrant rooftop bar, which was a highlight of my stay, along with several in-house dining options that I enjoyed. However, I would have appreciated more amenities for lactose/gluten intolerant options.

My stay at Mama Shelter La Hollywood was a good experience overall, with great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to iconic Hollywood Boulevard. However, the noise from the rooftop bar can be a little disruptive at night, especially for those in rooms nearby. Breakfast options also felt limited after a few days. Still, the vibrant decor and the friendly staff made up for these minor drawbacks.

The room was clean, modern, and spacious with comfy decor. I absolutely loved my bed as it was incredibly comfortable. It even had a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills, which was a bonus.
Service

Most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially Jaime, who surprised us with an upgraded room for our anniversary. However, there was one instance with a staff member who was rude during checkout, which was quite disappointing.
Location

The location is perfect for those looking to explore Hollywood and is just a 10-minute walk to Hollywood Boulevard. It's close to all major attractions, yet far enough to enjoy some quiet after a long day.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast, particularly the bare necessities option with avocado. However, the menu did become repetitive after a few days, and I found some items overpriced compared to what I received.
Facilities

The rooftop bar offered amazing views of the city, and the ambiance was relaxing. While the downstairs bar was vibrant, I wished it had more options for dancing to match the lively atmosphere.

I had a great time at Mama Shelter La Hollywood, but it wasn't without its quirks. The location is super central, making it easy to explore the Hollywood scene, but the noise from the rooftop bar was a bit of a bummer, especially at night. Overall, I'd say it's perfect for those looking to enjoy the vibrant nightlife, but maybe not the best choice for a restful stay.

Rooms

I enjoyed the spacious room and the huge bed was really comfortable. However, the noise from neighboring rooms and especially the rooftop bar disturbed my sleep.
Service

The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcomed. They were attentive, especially at the restaurant, but I felt there could be better communication regarding the rooftop access.
Location

The hotel is in the heart of Hollywood, close to everything I wanted to see. It was also convenient to use valet parking, which made getting around easy.
Dining

I had breakfast at the restaurant and it was awesome! The acai bowl was a must-try, but overall, I found the dining options decent yet a little overpriced for what you get.
Facilities

The lack of room service and minimal bathroom products was surprising for a boutique hotel. But the overall atmosphere and quirky decor made up for it.

I had a mixed experience at Mama Shelter La Hollywood. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially when I checked in, which set a positive tone for my stay. However, the noise from the rooftop bar and lobby was quite disruptive, especially if you need a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, the boutique hotel charm is evident, but it might not suit everyone’s ideal getaway.

Location

The location was excellent for accessing Hollywood without being right in the thick of the noise. However, once you're in, the noise from the bar nearby can be quite overwhelming.
Dining

I found the dining options nice, but they could improve in accommodating dietary restrictions. The food I had was pleasant, though a bit pricey.
Facilities

The hotel offers a decent range of facilities, but the parking was quite expensive at over $50 a night, which felt excessive to me.

I had a mixed experience at Mama Shelter LA. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Hollywood Boulevard, and the rooftop bar offers great views and delicious cocktails. However, the noise from the bars was disruptive, making it difficult to sleep. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but I felt that the vibe was a bit too funky for my taste.

Rooms

The rooms were clean and had some fun, quirky touches, though I found the open-plan shower was a bit impractical. I enjoyed glimpses of the Hollywood sign from my room, but overall, I felt it could've been a bit more soundproofed.
